When photos become even more abstract they become  interesting.  Abstraction, that process of filtering, of dappling light or directing eye movement has something elementally interesting about it - the way that distinct elements can converge to form something new and unprecedented, even if it is for that fraction of a millisecond.  

Similar to how fleeting thoughts happen and even moreso their expression.  Abstraction is something that happens fleetingly but not accidentally.  Ephemeral but in an obscure way, controlled.
